::: BIO :::

As a curious person, I am drawn to extraordinary people and places; as a photographer, I feel compelled to document them.

I was raised in the mountains of Santa Cruz, California, before moving to San Francisco to study Visual Anthropology. Concurrent with my studies at S.F.S.U, I took photo classes at the City College, and moved to New York in the winter of 2006 to be fully educated as a photographer at the School of Art & Design at Purchase College in New York. I recently received my B.F.A in December of 2008 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Currently I live in South Philadelphia.

I have interned at Magnum Photos in New York, been offered a 4-month internship with the VII Agency in Brooklyn, and in the Fall of 2008, assisted the Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer Edward Keating. I have also been involved in an ongoing online exhibit of East Coast-based photographers known as The Flood Collective.
